Cute as an Axolotl: Discovering the World's Most Adorable Animals
Cute As An Axolotl
By Jess Keating
Alfred A. Knope,2018, unpaginated,Youth Nonfiction
Some animals are weird - and some are weird. Keating's book highlights some of the weirdest cute animals on the planet. The Axolotl (pronounced AX-uh-lot-ull) is only the first of seventeen animals in this book. Each entry includes a photo of the animals, descriptions, and fun facts. It also includes some information about the science of cuteness. Kids who like animals, cute or weird, will enjoy this book. The reading level is appropriate for grade school children, whereas preschool children will probably only care to look at the cool pictures (which who can blame them - these animals are pretty cool!).
